Weekend Guests, Tairas, New Book…Busy, Busy!!

It has been a busy, busy week.  I was off work for most of it, so what the heck was I doing?  Just the usual, cleaning house, washing clothes, walking dogs, cooking, taxi service for kids, etc, etc!  I could retire tomorrow and never have an idle moment.

I received the most beautiful tiara this week from my swap partner, Heather.  It’s just divine, thank you Heather!!

The mailman also brought me a new book this week.  It is all about vintage wrapping paper from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s.  Such fun!!

I finished my Bits & Pieces swap collage and here is a little peek.  It will be off to my swap partner, Beth Quinn on Monday.  This weekend I am having some lovely company, my sister in law and brother in law are visiting from Washington, DC.

I’m off to the fish market for some fresh crab, it’s crab cakes tonight!

Here is a lovely vintage cotton twill from my vast collection.  Love the jadite green background!

And just so you can see, I am NOT exaggerating when I say VAST!

  1. Oh, it looks like I’m gonna have to find that wrapping paper book – where did you find it? I have the reproduction fabric of the space kids & made one of my kid’s Christmas stocking with it. So cute.
Your dress form in vintage fabric is lovely & I wish I could dive into your fabrics! 🙂 I also wish I had such an organized look as you have.
I only found your blog the other day but I will return…I had a near freak out when my husband changed my computer battery & some how all my bookmarked blogs disappeared…all is well now. 🙂

  3. Don’t you love those cube things? We use them for toys, and those things hold a LOT of toys!
    Nice fabric collection there too.
