Always Best Intentions

I have a large appetite for craft projects.  Problem is I have a job, a home, two kids, a dog and a husband.  That doesn’t leave a whole lot of time to finish, much less start all the projects that I want to do.  But that doesn’t stop me from thinking and planning yet another project! I always have the best intentions.

I really, really want to create and make all these wonderful things.  And my shelves are just bursting with supplies, patterns, mosaic tiles, old wooden shelves from the thrift, vintage christmas paraphenalia.  Oh, the list goes on and on.  If I never went to Michael’s, Joann’s, Hancock’s, quilt shops, etc every again, I still would not run out of supplies or projects to finish.

I pulled out of the back of a drawer today (see the wrinkles) aprons that I bought on sale at Anthropologie (love the sales at that store) a few years back when I was traveling on the job.  Somewhere, I don’t even recall!  I bought this apron just because I love the fabric and I don’t even know what I plan to do with it.  Just like it!

I really fell in love with this apron and I bought two of them with the intention of putting them together to make a skirt.  That would be cute don’t you think?

Well, now that summer is almost past maybe I will just get this project off the shelf and actually finished.  OK, so here it is in writing.  I will finish this and if it turns out well I will post a picture of the results.  There!

Rosemary over at Retro Rosie nominated me for the Nice Matters Award.  Thanks Rosemary!

  1. You stole the words right out of my mouth. I have the fixer upper home, the two small children, a garden and a wonderful craft room full of supplies. Somehow though it is the last place I get to lately. Your post was inspiring and maybe I’ll get to one my many projects. Well done on your nomination.

  2. That’s a cool idea about the aprons into a flirty skirt. I see several mixmatched ones together making quite a scene. Carol

  3. Love the new banner!
Yes, I can SO see those aprons as a skirt. Can’t wait to see how you put it together.
I, too, am just now sewing up a cute summer top (sleeveless). LOL Better late than never, I guess. 🙂
