Glorious Color

Yesterday was the first day of the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival here in Hampton, VA.  It is billed as the largest quilt show on the east coast.  I love quilt shows because I love the shopping!  However I did mostly looking yesterday because anyone that has seen pictures of my sewing studio knows that I don’t need any more fabric!

I did purchase a stack of beautiful pieces mostly from Kaffe Fassett at the Glorious Colors booth.  They are the largest distributor of Kaffe Fassett fabrics.  The colors are just so fabulous!

There were of course many beautiful quilts and quilted items as well as an exhibit of quilts by Kaffe Fassett and Liza Prior Lucy.

  2. Thanks for sharing pix with us! I LOVE Kaffe. Back in the early 90s I bought a knitting video of his, where he was teaching people to be confident with color
That 9-patch quilt is amazing, isn’t it? To take a traditional pattern like that and use those bright hot fabrics to transform it into something completely new!
    So Inspiring 🙂

  5. I love that last jacket. I don’t know if I will be able to make it to the quilt show this year, I am working. Do they have a lot of vintage/retro booths this year?
