Pilgrimage to SuzAnna’s

I've been dying to stop in and check out the finds at SuzAnna's.  Yesterday was finally the day.  Business took me to the southwest corner of Virginia and I took the opportunity to visit with my mother in Johnson City, TN.  I specifically too the NC route home so that I could swing into Raleigh and have a stop at SuzAnna's.

Thanks to Mary at Across the Pond for turning me on to Suzanna's.

I have been on the hunt for a vintage iron patio chair and I had a feeling I would find exactly what I was looking for in Raleigh.  Suzanna's did not disappoint.

Despite the 99 degree weather, I had a ton of fun meeting the proprietor's Susie and Anna and well as their right hand gal Linda.

And I found my chair!

SuzAnna's is tucked back in here, back by the railroad tracks.

I love stuff arranged by color, especially turquoise!

And here is my chair.

Today was the annual yard sale at the Cat Corner.  (That is the cat rescue place in Hampton)  I found the perfect cushions to go with the perfect chair for $2.  I found a few other treasures too.

My favorite thing is the package of vintage mid-century furniture legs.  I should have my husband cut kidney bean shape from some plywood and make a cool table.  Hmmmm.

(OK, Typepad is making me crazy with the type, I can't seem to get it all the same, arghh)

  6. Oh Suzy, I can’t believe I missed you. I should have called the gals that morning and told them that if you showed up (as you did) to call me and I would have popped over – I’m just 15 mins. away.
Anyway, glad you found ‘the chair’ it’s neat looking, and that you enjoyed treasure hunting despite the awful heat. Those are just the best gals ever, aren’t they? Today it’s much worse and will be 103 tomorrow!
I’m off to find a cool, shady spot – perhaps the front porch – and pour a tall cool drink. Have a fun weekend.
    Hugs – Mary.

  8. The chair is awesome, but the turquoise is perfection!! I just nabbed a pyrex chip and dip set in the turquoise hot air balloon pattern, and I cannot quit looking at it!
