Mermaids in the Late Summer Garden

Totally goofed off this weekend.  Back to school tomorrow, YES!  Back to work tomorrow, ugh.  Summer was crazy busy this year.

So many projects that I want to do, if I could just move my studio out to the garden.

This evening I'm squeezing in a few hours in the studio.  Dusted off the glue gun.  I've been wanting to make another two or three mermaid crowns.  I made one last year for the Crown/Tiara Swap and I loved that crown.  I hated to give it away.  This one is destined for inland digs.  I do love seashells.  I think they pretty much go with anything.

The late summer garden is still looking pretty good.  Very calm, very serene.

My hibiscus is still going strong, it loves the hot August weather.  Bye summer.

  1. Hi Suzy! Your shell crown is so cute! You must have had a lot of fun fitting all the shells together, balance the sizes and styles! I love making crowns, and I also made my first crown last year for a swap!

  3. I love the seashells turned into such a clever idea–so fun. Your garden still looks wonderful-mine’s starting to look like it has heatstroke!

  4. Your seashell crown is wonderful. I live close to the ocean so I have lots of seashells but can never think of anything to make with them. I am also so envious of your studio, it is just fantastic.
