I've had several inquiries as to what products and technique I used to paint the laminate countertop and the hardware for my wet bar remodel. So exactly how did I do it?

For the laminate countertop first I sanded it very well.
Second I painted it with a latex bonding primer. I used Benjamin Moore.
Next I painted two coats of semi-gloss paint. Again I used Benjamin Moore. (I'm a big fan of BM paints. A pure case of you get what you pay for.)
Finally, I put three coats of Polycrylic sealer on.
All the hardware, handles and shelf hardware I spray painted with Rust-oleum metallic bonding paint.
My countertop does not get much wear and tear so I think this treatment will wear ok.
I just discovered this product and it sounds like a good option if you are doing a bathroom or even a kitchen.

Thank you for that tutorial. I think the option to paint a counter top is brilliant and can save bucket loads of money. I am still awed by this transformation.

I didn’t use the rustoleum paint. I didn’t discover that until after mine was done. I used all latex paints and primer and three coats of sealer. It is now, 2 wks later finally cured enough to use it.
