I pretty much check my blog reader everyday, keeping up with everyone that I have bookmarked there. Often times one of my perennial reads will lead me to click over and explore something new. Then I discover another blog that I quickly add to my list of favorites.
Such a discovery was Pam Morris Sews. I was enticed over to her place by a feature on Apartment Therapy of a before and after ottoman project that she did.
Pam has wonderful progress photos of this project on her blog.
In fact her blog is a trove of gorgeous furniture rescues courtesy of her impeccable slipcover creations.
Just a few:
Pam also creates custom window treatments. Look at these classic double banded roman shades. So elegant.
Pam works with so many beautiful fabrics and those scraps are not wasted either. She turns them into pretty clutches that she sells in her Etsy shop, Mad-a-Lina Originals.
My mom taught me to sew as soon as I could thread a needle. In 1968 Santa brought me my first sewing machine at age 8 and I’ve never looked back. I have done a couple of slipcover projects and the chaise in my sewing studio is still awaiting it’s slipcover transformation. But I must say, slipcovers are not for the faint of heart, and just looking at the masterpieces that Pam creates has me in awe.
I hope you enjoy exploring her world as much as I did.
She did a fabulous job on the chaise lounge!!! Thank you for the email!!!
