Snap! It got cold this week! We are all a bit thin skinned here at the beach so when it gets below 40 degrees I start shivering. Yes, I am a wuss, what can I say?
Unlike a lot of the folks here that no matter what the temperature they continue to wear shorts, I break out a coat and I have gloves in the pockets of every one of them. I am always prepared for subzero.
Now yesterday Charlotte wrote about a green cashmere beauty that she found at the Salvation Army.
I have some fabulous vintage threads to keep me stylishly warm too.
I got this swingin’ number at the bag sale at the Episcopal church. $3 bucks for everything you can stuff in a paper bag.
Got this wild thing for $8 at a thrift store in Scotch Plains, NJ.
This blast from the past actually belongs to my husband and he got it in Korea when he was 13 yo. Of course it doesn’t fit him now, but I have to admit I wore this quite a lot back in the 80’s. I thought I was smokin’.
The first time I ever laid eyes on my husband (1977), he was wearing a suede fringed jacket. You don’t want to know what I thought…however, I looked past the clothing and married him anyway. Love the faux fur and designer coat. You always have been a stylin chick! xxoo, Susan

I love the first one best 🙂 I’m with you, I can’t do the shorts thing out here and I walk around in my big long black coat like I’m in NY or something!
Hugs,

Suzy,
The first one is way too cool for words. I bet you are styling and profiling when you wear that.
You didn’t mention a scarf. You do wear a scarf, don’t you? I like the first one, too as you can wear any color of scarf with that.
